The crucial aspect of your trip often gets overlooked until the last minute, leaving you scrambling to find affordable insurance and getting lost among the numerous options and offerings from various insurance companies.
Even if you’re one of those meticulous planners who secures travel insurance as soon as you book your tickets, you can still get confused by the multitude of options available, and it’s not always easy to choose the most suitable and cost-effective plan.
"Safe Flight" is a website designed to simplify this process with a particularly straightforward and brief procedure. Simply enter the number of travelers, destination, and travel dates on the site, and it will present you with the most affordable insurance packages available. You only need to select a package and make a payment—all through one website!
Market research
We conducted interviews with people who travel from time to time, and the findings revealed:

Every summer, the whole family goes on a trip abroad. Roi, the head of the family, takes care of the entire trip before they go, including flights, hotel, car rental, and daily activities. Ensuring travel insurance always gets left until the end, and in the end, they end up with expensive insurance for the whole family.
Workflow
1. Initial Research
I began by examining how travel insurance is handled across various insurance company websites, noting all the critical points.
2. UX Design
I started by defining the user experience (UX) for "Safe Flight," beginning with low-fidelity sketches on paper and then moving to detailed wireframes in Figma. I meticulously designed each page with a detailed flow process. Throughout this phase, it was crucial to ensure simplicity and ease of use, keeping the process short and straightforward with minimal steps and clutter.
3. UI Design
When transitioning to visual design (UI), I focused on making the website enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing. I chose soothing colors reminiscent of a sunset, integrated custom GIFs to enhance the flight experience, and included illustrative and pleasant images to guide users through each step. The entire process is clear and user-friendly, with a timeline feature indicating exactly what steps remain until completion.
